Our platform’s core is the ability to prepare your styles by simply uploading your game assets at our Style Studio. Layer captures your game’s unique art and creates a Style that you can use to generate infinite assets! No complicated settings, no trial and error.

Early in our conversations with artists, we identified this as a critical requirement to augment their daily workflows. It’s simple, fast, and intuitive.

We’ve designed Layer to be simple to use and easy to get started with — no hours of tutorials to watch or training to complete, just type prompts and generate many assets. As you dive into Layer and need more power, Layer delivers that too!

Do you want just to brainstorm concepts? Or do you want to launch a game in two weeks and need thousands of assets? It’s easy. Simply type what you need and choose from as many alternatives as you want.

Behind the scenes

Our main objective was to build a simple, intuitive, and responsive UI for game artists. A lot of the work to achieve this was behind the scenes in our world-class backend, based on our expertise in developing AI infrastructure products for two years. Our experience enabled us to achieve unparalleled performance in our UI, with images generated in ~4 seconds. As such, Layer is the fastest AI image-generation experience out there. We are doing all the magic in a highly efficient, flexible, and scalable way to offer unbeatable pricing for this level of performance.

About us

Our founder, Mehmet Ecevit, is a gaming legend. As a serial gaming entrepreneur, he deeply understands the needs of gamers and gaming companies. Mehmet co-founded GramGames (the creators of 1010! and Merge Dragons!), a company that pioneered the hyper-casual genre. He deeply understands the needs of gamers and Gaming companies. Gram Games was acquired in 2018 by Zynga for nearly $500M — all after only raising a few million of capital!

Leading our Engineering efforts is our VP of Engineering, Volkan Gurel. A graduate of MIT, he has worked on AI products since 2008. His experience includes building one of the first consumer-facing AI products at Hunch, and leading the team at Airware responsible for autonomously processing drone imagery with computer vision in a cloud platform.

Mehmet founded Layer in 2020 with the objective to build a world-class, scalable AI platform for developers. With the advent of the Generative AI revolution, our team quickly adapted the technology we developed over two years towards building the most performant, scalable, and user-friendly Generative AI product on the market.
