Layer for Roblox UGC
AI for Roblox UGC. One concept, a whole item drop.
Layer is where Roblox experience studios and UGC creator teams make the art: avatar items and accessories, 3D models from concept art, textures, UI and thumbnails, in one style the whole team can hold.
Pay for what you generate in Creative Units. No per-seat fees.
- AI models for image, video, 3D and audio

Item drops
One concept, a whole drop
Approve one design, then build the rest of the drop from it. Ranks, colorways, pets and the emblems that go with them come out of one session, so the line looks like it belongs together.
- Variants built from the design you approved, so the cut and palette hold
- Swap a color or a trim one region at a time with inpaint
- Ask for the whole set in one message; the agent picks the model and shows the cost
Concept to 3D
From concept art to a mesh you can clean up
Describe the design or attach your concept. Layer draws matched views, checks they agree and builds a textured model from all of them, so the back of the item comes from a drawing you have seen.
- Front, left, back and right drawn and checked before any geometry
- Remesh to a target polycount, in quads or tris
- Retexture one mesh into new colorways
- Rig a character as its own step, ready to animate
A generated mesh is a strong first pass, not a finished upload. Check scale, thin parts like straps and chains, topology and texture size, then test the item against the platform's own requirements before you list it.
In-experience art
Everything around the item
Textures, tile sets, UI, icons and thumbnails for the experience itself, made in the same workspace as the items.
TexturesTileable stone, wood, metal and terrain, ready for your materials.
Tile sets and mapsEvery edge and corner on one grid, plus maps built on it.
UI kitsButtons, panels and frames in one style, built to 9-slice.
IconsSets that stay consistent and still read at small sizes.
Shop and pass screensStore, pass and reward screens to mock up before you build.
Thumbnails and promoKey art, thumbnails and social posts for every update.
Reference sets
One look across the whole team
Build a reference set from your approved catalog. Every teammate who mentions it, and the agent, starts from the same ground truth, so the hundredth item matches the first.
- Images, captions, prompt templates and a color palette in one set
- Mention it in any prompt with @, yours or a teammate's
- Train a custom style on the same set when references are not enough
- Customer data is never used to train foundation models
Creator teams
Add creators, not seats
Layer has no per-seat fees. Invite the whole creator team and pay for what it generates, in Creative Units. On Enterprise, groups give each team a role and a Creative Unit limit, so a new cohort can start without a new budget line.
Security
Unreleased items stay unreleased.
Workspaces keep each team's work apart, roles decide who sees what, and every generation is in the audit log.
- SOC 2 Type II
- Customer data is never used to train foundation models
- Customer data is stored in the European Union
- SSO, custom roles and an audit log
Questions Roblox teams ask
Can Layer match the look of my experience or my catalog?+
Yes. Build a reference set from your approved art and mention it in any prompt, and every teammate starts from the same style. When references are not enough, train a custom style on the same set.
Can Layer make 3D models for Roblox?+
Layer turns concept art or a description into textured meshes you can download as GLB or OBJ, or FBX where the model supports it. Treat them as a strong first pass: remesh to your polycount, check thin parts and scale, and test each item against the platform's own requirements before you upload it.
Who owns what we make?+
You do. Outputs from your workspace are yours, under Layer's terms of service. Whether an item meets a marketplace's own rules is for you to check before you list it.
How does pricing work for a creator team?+
There are no per-seat fees. You pay for generations in Creative Units, so adding a creator adds what they make, not a seat. On Enterprise, groups cap each team's Creative Units and give it a role.
Is it safe for unreleased items and experiences?+
Layer is SOC 2 Type II certified. Customer data is never used to train foundation models. Workspaces keep teams apart, roles control access, and the audit log records every generation.
What else can we make besides items?+
Concept art for zones and characters, textures, tile sets, UI, icons, thumbnails, trailers and social posts, all in the same workspace and the same style.
